Moab 2K+1: Story and Photos... Day 4 (morning):
Picture: The next morning we awoke to some wetness. This is a photo of Marc's tent's fly. Yup, a puddle of water had developed!
Picture: More wet, cloudy, miserable weather. Notice my car parked off in the distance, away from any steep roads. This photo was taken from the campsite next to ours.
Picture: More of the rocks in the area.
Picture: Notice how a small stream developed overnight right next to Ray's tent! It's lucky we didn't set it up any further over, or we might've been flooded out!
Picture: Me, on my way back from the open-roof outhouse.
Picture: Ray under the tarp. Those marks you see on the tarp are bits of hail. Notice the stream of water running off the tarp.
Picture: A photo from where I was parked. It had rained only moments earlier, then the sun came out and the rocks and road were reflecting the sun's light.
Picture: Taking down the tents, the colour of the sand before we set up camp, compared to the wet sand that we woke up to in the morning...
Picture: It started raining while we were packing our stuff into my car.
Stan and Dan had already left Moab a little earlier. We were supposed to meet up with them at the first McDonalds in St. George, UT as soon as we got there. While at the coffee shop the previous night we'd decided to go to Vegas.
Continue to DAY 4 (midday)!
